Galerie Betty Charles Moves to Duke Street, Mayfair

Galerie Betty Charles, is excited to announce BADA & CINOA Membership alongside their new home and gallery space which has opened on Duke Street, Mayfair, presenting Modern, Postwar, and Contemporary art from the UK and Europe.

Galerie Betty Charles is an intimate space that feels approachable. We are keen to encourage buying art as an “In Real Life” experience. It was founded on a simple premise: that beginning a collection should feel less like a transaction and more like the start of a long conversation.

The gallery pairs combined art world and legal expertise; exceptional curation with an in-house legal team — offering authentication, valuations, and tax advisory alongside its exhibition programme.

The gallery's programme spans two distinct strands: rediscovering overlooked historical gems from 1860–1960 and representing mid-career “Future-Masters”. This included a recent, widely noted reappraisal of the work of Lucien Pissarro and Sigurd Swane. Both approaches gently guide new and seasoned collectors through exciting discoveries in physical exhibitions, at major British & European art fairs, and exclusive London viewings.

"Between us, we have spent over six decades in the art world and in art law. Galerie Betty Charles is the result — a gallery where the two disciplines finally sit in the same room."

— Lucy and Oliver Charles, Founders
